Orange Robotics
About
The Orange Robotics Club is a developmental, professional, and educational club that competes in VEXU robotic competitions with a focus on teaching robotics, as well as applying learned skills in a professional world. We aim to further the understanding and love of robotics in all students through workshops, meetings, one-on-one sessions, and general group discussion. The club is split into two main teams. These teams are the mechanical and programming teams. In the mechanical team there is a focus on physical development of the robot. Often CAD is used to mock-up a prototype of a robot. This CAD model must be designed with the constraints of the VEXU competition in mind. When the CAD model is completed, it is brought to life by the members of the mechanical team. They add every needed component for the programming team to have all the necessary tools to function properly. The programming team handles the behind-the-scenes work. Using C++, the programmers develop code to make the robot complete the game tasks.
