The Asian American Journalists Association – Syracuse University Student Chapter (AAJA-SU) is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community for those passionate about journalism, media, and communication. Our mission is to empower and support Asian American journalists and media professionals, promoting diversity and inclusion in the broader journalism landscape. Through workshops, seminars, and networking events, we strive to enhance professional development, providing opportunities for growth and collaboration. Our objectives include actively promoting diversity, engaging with the Syracuse University community, advocating for accurate representation of AAPI voices, and fostering a sense of community among members. We encourage members to gain relevant experience, seek out opportunities, connect with AAPI journalists, and contribute to balanced media coverage of the AAPI community.
